What a pathetic lot we are. ‘Out of the comfort zone’ was Bag’o’Bones verdict on the poor turnout, but you can’t get much closer to the Peninsula without falling over the edge, so where were you.

The facts are that
1. the running hare (g)host hadn’t turned up as the run set off;
2. the walking hare had been there for ages, but in civvies without a hash T shirt to his name, and had to walk softly (‘cos he couldn’t walk hardly at all ??) on his injured ankle in his black lace ups;
3. hash hero BeachBalls took on haring the run, only to lead lots of the way, and then he led us astray until we were all lost again;
4. stand in back hare WetDream front ran for a short time before shortcutting to the beerstop (OK so thats not unusual);
5. etc, you got the idea

This shouldn’t make you think it was a poorly managed run ... no ... but it may give a flavour of the management style.

The beer stop was a sad occasion as we said farewell to ComesandGoes who was yet again not to attend the circle, but departs Dar imminently.
The run in was uneventful, no one lost, injured or mugged, yet Tiny Sausage drove off into the sunset as soon as he saw the circle forming.

The GM started with announcements :
- charity boxes around town for collection of toys and basic provisions, as explained by Mother Immoral and orphan;
- 26 Nov run to be hosted by Mother Immoral at her house;
- 3 Dec run to be hosted by LeakyLucy at Valhalla;
- 10 Dec run to be hosted by UpSkirt and SlappA ..
- this weekends run (which we’d all forgotten about) to be hosted by Park’n’Ride will not happen, so you can forget about it;

.... talk about organisation, an actual receding hareline.

The hares (having all turned up) were offered various levels of praise for their efforts, before this weeks RA was invited to take the circle. Woops, it’s Jesus. Our Jesus is not known for suffering sinners lightly, but NastyPasty helped out by suggesting ‘burn them’ as an appropriate sentence after a spillage of beer by two unfortunates. Even the GM was chastised for shortcutting, but more so BeachBalls for telling him where the beerstop was to be. Omission’s sartorial state was highlighted again, but turned into an opportunity for him to sing ‘Wild Rover’ for no apparent reason, with the assistance of that well known red headed colleen NastyPasty.
BoogieBoobs ability to climb through a fence without ripping herself to shreds (at the second attempt) was applauded; and a hash hero who selflessly guarded the beermobile (whilst constantly checking that the supplies weren’t going off) was recognised.

As the circle was small, food was ready and the evening moving along, last weeks virtual hash shits were called into the circle by the GM. Thus did Jesus seem to never leave, but BothWays was absent so SlappA was selected as a stand in virtual lookalike. After a stand off between the GM and the RA as to who could be nominated for shortcutting, early unpreparedness or late coming, the premature Omission was agreed as he had no need of other silly clothes.
The hash hymn rounded off the formalities before the vegetarian delights were produced from the boot of Jesus’ car. The hash plates and cutlery were put to full use for a change, with no shortage of fodder for the faithful ... and a cool ale to cleanse the palette.

All in all another fine evening of mismanaged entertainment enjoyed by those there and you can only blame yourself if you missed it. Mother Immoral’s convent will be full of the faithful next Monday, so get into the habit and come along.
