Many of you will recall Big Lee. He helped us on the beer stops many a time.
His hash handle, “Ribbed for Pleasure”, came about because he had a cracked rib on the first day when he was appointed to be a substitute beer master.
Given his injury, he wasn’t able to move the big cooler, cases of beer or ice blocks.
He’s a great guy and will be missed by us all.
For those of you who were not able to attend the services, here’s a copy of the text.
You will always have a special place in our heart

“Amazing Grace” by John Newton
Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me; I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind but now I see. Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed! Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come; ‘Tis grace that brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me home. When we’ve been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun; We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’d first begun!
“How Did He Live” by anon
How Did He Live
Not ‘How did he die?’ but ‘How did he live?’
Not ‘What did he gain?’ but ‘What did he give?’
These are the units that measure the worth
Of a man, as a man, no matter his birth.
Not ‘What was his Church?’
Nor ‘What was his creed?’
But his work and his care
For those people in need:
His strength for his children,
His love for his wife.
These are the units
That measure a life.
Not what the sketch
In the newspapers say,
But how many will miss him
Now he’s passed away.
